Visions of power and magical command endlessly swirl inside my head. I imagine what it's like to have that kind of energy burning exquisitely throughout my body. "What will it be like to be a Mage?" I wonder. I am so close to actually having this power. I am so excited I can hardly sleep. But I must. I must get my rest before I enter the triangle. I can't even believe I've gotten this far, but I have. Tomorrow, I enter the "Mage's Triangle." The test which plays my mind against another apprentice's mind. There are three apparently simple games I must play. If I win, I am accepted into final training where I will become Mage-Extraordinaire. I will have power at my fingertips and wisdom on my tongue. If I lose, I must train as apprentice for another two years before I can take the test again. I can win if I am rested. I must sleep now... |

the 1st test:
The Wizard's Dilemma. Oh apprentice. The magic is
in the symbols, awaken their powers.
|
| The Wizard's Dilemma Two will start the game with no advantage to either. Each apprentice may summon the magical powers of any inscribed symbol, provided, such apprentice arrives upon the symbol. This is a test of symbol power. The one who is most deft at their use will prevail. |

The Sorcerer's Abyss Two will start the game with no advantage to either. Both apprentices must plan their moves. But each must take heed of the consequences dealt by fate. The spotted cube, controlled by nature, will make some decisions. This is a test of planning and reaction to changing conditions. The one who is the most agile in thought will prevail. |
| The Shaman's Circle Two will start the game with no advantage to either. Each apprentice will transport his or her stones midst the Shaman Circles, in and around opposing stones. Even as all stones and possible moves are in plain view of both apprentices, the move unseen by one is the advantage of the other. This is a test of ingenious and surprise. The one who is most creative and cunning will prevail. |
