Game Clubs

Game clubs are groups of people that meet once a week to play a particular game. We have clubs ranging from classics like Scrabble and Pinochle to hard-to-find themed games like Fossil and Settlers of Catan.

How do game clubs work?
Clubs run once a week on a certain day at a designated time. (Ex: Scrabble on Tuesdays at 7:00pm.) Each night is called a "session." Most clubs are continuous and you can jump in at anytime. We supply everything needed to play and teach you how to play. If there is not an even number of players, a different player variant of the same game or a similar game may be played. Sessions will be rescheduled due to any weather or other emergency closing, place call for confirmation.

How do I sign up for a game club?
Take a look through our schedule of game clubs. If you see something you like and would like to sign up, click on the "Click To Register Online" link and send us an email listing the club you'd like to sign up and your contact information. Or give us a call at 410-536-GAME. We'll add your name to that club's roster and tell you if that club is currently running.

What if I don't know how to play a particular game?
If you don't know how to play, don't worry! All of our game clubs offer instruction. We have patient instructors who will walk you through all the rules.

What are Ludo Points?
Ludo Points are the Ludo Club's way to reward yourself. Gain Ludo Points every time you play no matter what, win or lose and even on GamesCafe. All ludo points are added to your running total at the end of each game session. Acquire more points as you acquire more skill. You may redeem your points for gift cards, movies, free clubs and more. See Ludo Points page for complete prize list, so keep on playing!

How do I pay for the club?
There are two easy payment options. You can either:

  • Pay when you play - by paying $7 each time you come in to play for that session.

  • Pay in advance - by paying for several sessions at one time. If you miss a night you receive a credit for future clubs.

If you don't see a game club listed that you would like to play, give us a call and we'll try to start one up. If a club runs on a day which doesn't match your schedule, we can form another club on a day better suited to your schedule.

And remember ... You're here to relax and have fun! It's just a game!

Call 410-536-GAME for registration and join in on the fun!

Settlers of Catan
If the only games you have played before are computer games, card games and mass market board games like Monopoly, Clue, etc. you’ve got to try this game—it will amaze you how interesting a board game can be. Gone are the wishful hopes of landing on a good space. Enter the thrill of playing off the other players; because this game comes under the category "negotiation games." These are games where players wheel and deal with each other. It is such a fascinating dichotomy—players have to help each other but at the same time are competing for the win. Settlers of Catan is one of the top selling board games in Europe. Why? Because it captures a certain something most board games don’t. It is fast becoming a classic. Easily learn this game using our exclusive "Decision Sequence." The "Decision Sequence" guides you step by step through exactly which choices you make during a turn. Why have somebody clumsily explain the rules to you in a few minutes, when you can be taught in a comfortable, patient setting? Do yourself a favor, don’t miss out on this one.
